As a writer, I tend to live and breathe in a world of words. This project challenges me to put language aside long enough to visually capture one moment each day ... and trust that a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Photography helps me "focus" on the present and, as Jan Phillips writes, "my vision expands as I scan for signs of the Divine in the world."

Time for an update! I successfully completed Year 1 in May, 2013, and am taking a more relaxed approach to Year 2. In other words, I now post when I can. My goal this year is take better advantage of the wonderful learning opportunities on 365 by participating in more challenges and themes. I'm continually amazed by the talent and creativity on this site -- there is simply no better inspiration. And I appreciate all of you who take the time to view, comment, and critique my images.
