There are five mothers in our church who have children serving the Lord overseas. We decided to have a monthly prayer group and tonight was our 1st night. Two of the ladies were unable to come, but "where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matt 18:20)
nice you can meet up! I would have loved to have had a group to meet with when my daughter was serving as a nurse/missionary in the Dominican Republic. It was such a mix of emotions, as I wanted her here, especially when she got pregnant, but I also knew she was doing what she was being led to do. So where is your child serving? I don't think I realized it until now.
@vickisfotos My son & his wife moved to Albania last June. They will be there indefinitely. We are planning to go visit them in May, just after their 2nd daughter is born. Can't wait!! :-)
I fully understand! So exciting you will get to be there after their baby is born. After I posted here, I went back over your photos and saw a couple about Albania, so I was guessing that was it. My daughter lived in the DR for 4 years. She got so very sick after 3 years, came back and they could not find the reason, she went back but continued to be sick, so finally decided it would be best to raise her children here. Her husband is from there, so I will not be surprised that in a few years when her babies are bigger, they will go back.
