camp read-a-lot

Tonight was literacy night. Yesterday my friend Stacey (the art teacher) and our co-worker Danielle (one of the special ed teachers) and I made this poster. Tonight we took pictures of some of the families in front of it. I didn't really know Danielle very well before we worked on this project, but we discovered that the three of us have similar obsessive compulsions about similar things . . . like where to place the trees (in an asymmetrically symmetrically way) and what the stars should look like (Danielle and I both like Tomie dePaola). A lot of families showed up tonight, which was really nice. They really seemed to like the camping theme.
GOOD thought....... Great poster to encourage reading. Everyone ought to be a reader. Unfortunately, too many aren't. I don't know what I'd do without books and/or my Kindle.

I love the trees and the stars. Your attention to detail is so refreshing. Your work always makes me pause to see those details. Your work makes me smile. 😀

I know it is just paper, but I see your appliqué talent in this!
