I actually took this picture on Monday and I've been saving it for today. My friend Katina has these African violets on a table with a picture of her grandmother. It turns out both of our paternal grandmothers had a room full of African violets. I loved that room at my grandma's house. There was a comfy green chair and I would go in there to hide from my brothers and read my book. I loved looking at all the different pinks, roses, periwinkles, and every shade of violet in the flowers. Today would have been her 98th birthday.
