Last year I had my first King Cake (made by my neighbor Katina). This year I made my first King Cake. This is the beauty shot -- it came out completely lopsided, split in half, and oozing filling. I can only go up from here.
@laurielizard Here they put a baby in it. I went out to get the baby and it started snowing during the 2 hours I was in JoAnn's. By the time I got out of the store the roads were so bad that I never made it to the party store to look for it. I'm going to order some babies from Oriental Trading so I have them ready for next year. Then I'm going to figure out how to make a individual cakes that actually taste good and aren't dry and crusty. Haha!
