bifocals are not for the faint of heart

Those are so cute! I have progressives. It's a pitiful fact of life.

@margonaut Thank you. I'm having a hard time adjusting. I was cautioned against getting progressives because I get motion sick. Do you have troubles that way?

@wiesnerbeth I have always had motion sickness issues, ever since childhood. Can't tell you how many times I vomited in my mother's knitting bag on road trips, LOL! There was a question of whether I'd even be able to drive. I get really sick from amusement park rides, spent time at Harry Potter World in the medical unit because of a ride. My first pair of progressives made me nauseous. I had to take them back and get bifocals. But when I changed eye doctors, the optometrist there begged me to let him try to make me some. He said the technology has changed and promised that if they made me sick, I could bring them back. Sure enough, they were great! I'd never go back. Close, medium, far - I can see it all.

@margonaut I'm glad to hear this! I don't get that motion sick (poor you!) so maybe they will work for me. I've been so frustrated when I have to read, use the computer, or sew in the sewing machine. So irritating. I have 30 days to return the bifocals so I may do that if I don't adjust in the next week. Thanks for the help!
