Trying to decide if I would be insane to give 25 kindergartners each a tray of sand to trace letters after reading this adorable book (“Swashby and the Sea”).

I'm not familiar with the book, but I love that illustration. Sounds like a pretty creative activity.

@eudora it’s a newer book. I’m on a committee that chooses a list of 10 or so diverse picture books each year (#vareads) and this was one of our picks for this school year. It’s a really cute book.
