Iris Seed Pods ,IRIS FOETIDISSIMA, (Stinking iris)

It been rather a dismal day, although a lot better than some areas. Not good for taking photos though.

@bristolrose not heard of skunk cabbage, just googled it. that too is pretty, stinking iris has a sort of dusty bluish flower

The berries are a lovely colour. Probably just as well we can see them but not smell them. Glad you came through the weather without too much hardship.

Someone told me that this Iris was the only one that was truly native to Britain. We have some in the garden and the berries are a great colour this time of year.
