Chinese Rice bowl which has translucent grains of rice around the sides. I was hoping these would be clearer. (need to invest in some lighting - torch not good enough).

Good shot. I'm only guessing, and depending what the bowl is made from, but if a light was placed on the outside of the bowl would it illuminate the translucent rice so it could be seen on the inside.
