I filling up my bird feeder and decided to clean the bin lid which I have inverted on a largish plant pot to catch the bird seed which gets tossed about by the birds and squirrels in an attempt to stop Shelby my Beagle eating it. So a lovely surprise when I removed the lid to find these crocuses flowering beneath, a little delicate but surviving.
