I was challenged to do a shot of opposites, such as fire and ice. Most difficult part of the challenge?? Getting the gas lighter to ignite to then light the lighter fuel.
I fear I may also have carbon monoxide poisoning, as I now have a banging headache. Please humour me- see what it looks like on black!
@miseria is this what you were thinking of?? I do hope so, as He comes back tomorrow and I certainly won't be allowed to play with fire (and ice) again!
it does look nice on black and the blue flame really comes alive. i won't touch a thing like this, art or no art. you did it superbly but don't do it again.
@stefneyhart Stef I copied the entire concept as had no idea how to do it!! @wendyfrost it wasn't that dangerous ( I don't think!) @miseria well I have no idea how to Photoshop it!!! Promise I was safe @salza the photography part wasn't hard, it's the setting up!! @robz ooooh, thank you Rob @carole_sandford I think the house was safe!! @Dawn ta!! @johnsutton it was a well ventilated garage
I used @summerfield no Miss!! Thank you miss!! Slapped my wrists! @megpicatilly come home to a real fire?? @ludwigsdiana it was only a little fire, thank you.
Thank you all! As Vikki suggested I won't be doing this again, been there, done it and got the PP!! Thank you all for your lovely words, this was fun to do and I got some pretty shots, this the best once cropped and slightly improved by Window's sliders. 🚒
@merrelyn
In garage door down, so v little light in, left gap for ventilation
Black card and glass on base, black card behind.
Manual focus on object
Squirted lighter fuel ignited a took text photos, viewed with foot open!!
Adjusted iso etc( used manual buttonsl!!!)
More fuel to practice to get light level
Then wipe dry, put ice on glass, focus
Squirt lighter fuel. Ignition and snap!!
Tried lighting the ice, wouldn't work, need ethanol for that apparently.
Gets hot, flames up to 6" high, needs good ventilation!!
Don't squirt fuel onto flames (according to YouTube!) But I did! 🚒🔥
Though I wasn't quite expecting you to go this far, so take care!
