We think January is the prettiest month and we got a head start on it last night! The rain brings snow to the surrounding mountains and that clears the air so the "view" is beautiful! "The View" near home consists of houses-that-block-the..., peering past trees, power lines, and afternoon haze if one doesn't get out early... It would be possible to have a better view if we wanted to get out on the freeway and drive for 20 minutes... I love you guys, but not that much... This, near home, will have to do!
Ken and I look forward to a quiet evening by the fire (now that it's "pretend cold"...) To those of you starting your new day and new year...May it be a Healthy, Happy One!
Lovely scene! Doug and I are having a quiet evening too. Had some lobster, now enjoying some wine :) Happy New Year to you and Ken! Looking forward to your pictures and stories in the new year.
You are obviously enjoying the best of both worlds California and NS.
Whenever I post a one of our backyard Canadian squirrels my first comment to my husband is I wonder what Louise will say. No other 365er has been as enthusiastic about our furry brown friends as has you! I look forward to seeing your photos in 2015 and wishing you and Ken a very Happy New Year.
It's a lovely view Louise! You have the best of both worlds in where you live! I love seeing such a great variety of shots from such beautiful places! Happy New Year to you and yours!
This is an awesome southern CA. winter capture...... It's about all the snow we get around a lot of it. Snow on the distant mountains. We miss seeing them with snow capped tops down here. Used to see snow capped mtns all the time when we lived in Whittier (as kids), then Ontario and Corona for ten years before heading to San Diego in 1970.
Wonderful photo !! Beautiful landscape. If i could just jump in that photo and enjoy the warmth of California, i'd be there now !! Happy 2015 Louise and Ken !!
@ethelperry Oh Thank You Ethel! A Happy New Year Hug to you! I think yours is the best advice that could be given! Cherishing and appreciating the good moments will give us what we need to take us through the rest. ♥
Well, now that's just a postcard photo there. Hi again Louise! Yes, I'm back after a little absence. My first photo of the new year has a similar theme. Gotta love snow in So Cal!
Well Howdy Stranger! Your ears should have been burning...we've discussed your where-abouts a great deal lately! I knew where to find you when the holidays are over! Of course you like this photo..."Golf Course!" Looking forward to seeing your pictures again and another meet-up!
