"I wanna go back to my little grass shack ..." by Weezilou

"I wanna go back to my little grass shack ..."

I made this for my Nova Scotia friends who wrote today to tell me the snow is "up to forever" with more expected tonight... Just wanted to give them something better to set their minds on.

And in actuality, in this dust pit of a back yard, I'd like to be there again as well...

I love this Louise! Makes me want to visit there. I've seen enough sand here this winter to last me a long while.

@dgrynn would that be "snow?" ...your beach *sand* seemed to have been beneath it and covered with icicles!

Awesome shot

I really like your composition. Should be a book cover or something.

@danette Thanks, Danette! I actually like the fact that she's reading a book as she's sitting there. Looking through my days of photos, I was sidling up behind a lot of people for some foreground interest!

It's wonderful! Great shot and processing.

I love the postal stamp in the processing, it gives it a great feel.

@fjmom I was thinking of, "...having a nice time...and I'm never coming home..." (I wish!)

Snow "up to forever" or "dust bin"....? Think I'd take the dust. Can wash it off, In snow you just freeze. Course, I'm a native southern Californian.. Snow is all but an unknown to me -- except on our winter visits to Alberta.

@aglennc yah..."dust bin" won't last long, and it won't be around again this time next year...or the year after...at which time we might just go swimming! Nix to the snow!

Your friends will be very envious :)

March 18th, 2015
@Weezilou - 60??? what are you, a hundred? hahaha! that's what the young ones would tell me whenever i'd say "50 years ago when i was young"...
March 18th, 2015
@summerfield Well thanks, Darlin' :) You can be my new best friend! We left when I was 9 and I've been singing it ever since... so, yes, pushing 100!

Looks wonderful I'd like to imagine myself right there. As a family, Michaels side we are planning a trip to Maui in Feb/March of 2017. We're renting a house in Kihei. So looking forward to that.
March 20th, 2015
@dailypix JUST what you all need to look forward to! It would be wonderful to stay in a house there...you have an amazing vacation to plan for now! AND...it will be whale watching season! The statistics are that over 1/2 of the world's humpback whales winter off the coast of Maui! We saw an amazing number of water spouts and a few flukes, but Ashley saw one breech and was astounded it was in so close!

Do n`t make them jealous . You make me , if I did n`t like it so much when I feel a lovely cold strong breeze around my head. Or Like my dear Mother always said.: Keep you head cool/clear and you feet`s warm.
