It has been very cathartic to set aside the daily photography and dabble amongst images I loved but never had time to use in any fashion. Many before me have inspired me to try my hand at using textures; it would be impossible to "copy" anyone. One image could be run past a million possibilities and that would only be the beginning!
With my father teaching me, I began my photography before I was ten. All my art school training taught me that I was still searching for my muse. (All these years later I wish I'd studied photography!) For myself, I've finally found a satisfying melding of training and techniques in this blend of mediums.
To each of you, I extend a rose in thanks for all your kindness and good wishes this past week. I'm trying to get around to each of you to comment on *your* pictures as you've done mine. It was all so appreciated! ♥
@jamibann I guess a month on 365 IS ages! The family was here and all the while I was fighting a cold & cough. Finally saw the doctor and am on antibiotics...and wondering when they'll finally kick in! Kass dropped me a note saying she's had it a month also, calling it The Walking Flu. In summery, I haven't been out taking photos!
So beautiful and creative Louise! I have booked 2 days with my friend Simon who is a Pro photographer and as well as sorting out my backups on my new Mac laptop he is going to take me through layers in PS and other editng skills! I am so looking forward to doing this and hopefully improve my processing! About time I got to grips with PS! Fav for your lovely rose and let's hope you are finally on the mend!
very pretty processing. Hope you are well on the mend. Have had a 'bug' hanging around me for a couple of weeks too. Doesnt take much to get behind with a 365 project.
two o'clock in the morning in san francisco and unable to sleep, thought i'd mosey on down to find this beauty. have a slight headache which i hope doesn't transform into anything serious that would need anti-b's. good that you're on the mend; keep it going that way then. wish LA wasn't too far or i'd have stayed around there in my journey back to toronto. manila was fun, but body and mind have been longing for "home" which, as you may recall, isn't in existence at the moment, well, not until march 1st when i move in to my new apartment. hotel it would be for the next few days unti, then. my love to both you and ken.♡
This is so beautiful! Sorry to hear that you have been feeling under the weather. I hope that your medication kicks in and that you are feeling much better soon. I have been very slack on 365 recently. Despite still posting pictures I haven't been commenting much nor making much time to check out other people's albums.
The light on this beautiful rose, your amazing processing, and your sentimental commentary combine to create a masterpiece! When I scroll up and discover an image that takes my breath away, it's an instant fav; and this, without a doubt, is an instant FAV! Wishing you well, and thank you for brightening my day! :-)
Beautiful image and a wonderful narrative! You have a gift for reaching out and warming a person's heart, Louise! I'm so happy we happened to cross paths here on 365! :-)
