Party Like it's 1650! by Weezilou

Party Like it's 1650!

I loved photographing Ruth's birthday party in her lovely old home built in the late 1700s! The natural light made for some gorgeous photos, but this,of Ruth's granddaughter was a favourite of mine. The lighting on a girl eating cheeses reminded me of the light in a Vermeer painting.

Little wonder Ruth's an inspired painter, living in a setting like this!
Oh what a gorgeous photo of a gorgeous girl!!! I love this older style home too, it does make for a very lovely, rustic atmosphere - and that lighting is terrific! And with that, I in turn wish you a good night and thank you for your lovely photos and friendship :) It's so fun having you in the same time zone!

@kerosene I lied about turning in in that moment... Thanks!
(Why oh why is it so difficult to push the chair back and close up shop for the night?!) xo

Fabulous. Love the lighting and the "naturalness" of the girl..... Nothing about it looks posed, and I like it!
