Since Pam @pamknowler visited here six weeks ago and heard the city put up Christmas trees in the park, she's asked me *please* to send a photo when they light them! That was tonight as the crowd in attendance counted down from10! What a sight! This year the town blocked off the street and put in shop stalls, as well as a nice bonfire in the center of the street for ambiance and warmth! We even had a really nice parade with music, antique cars & fire engines, but best of all, a beautifully decorated pair of oxen and a 4H group with sheep, goats, large dogs and a chicken. You'd be hard-pressed to find that much small-town charm and ambiance in Southern California and the turnout was a respectable and admiring crowd!
Trust me on this...life on the left coast is deadly dull... OK, *my* life is. We stay home a lot...too much traffic! But here...THIS is where the party always is!
Lovely image and I hope Pam was pleased! Thanks for your very kind words for my daughter's speedy recovery ... she's doing really well! The Christmas lights are going up everywhere here too, so maybe I'll get some photos too!
Oh Louise @weezilou what a wonderful surprise this morning to see this beautiful image! If only I could have been there to see the real thing and soak up the wonderful atmosphere! Lunenburg is such a lovely town with so much going on all the time! One week left and I am sure you will be making the most of every moment! Enjoy! Thanks so much for sharing this gorgeous sight! Fav!
@pamknowler ...making the most of every moment! Got my Snow Photo this morning! Everything's complete now (but for the packing, dinner invite, dinner hosting, coffee invite, haircut+, vet visit, another coffee invite...and a sleepover we're going to have to turn down!!! How's THAT for winding up the next few days?!)
@pamknowler Ahhh I see we have not closed the loop on that one! She has one last vet check up to be sure she doesn't have feline lukemia, but with a clean bill of health, she already has a plane ticket to California! Bet you didn't see THAT one coming! She's been indoors with us for a couple weeks now, and she's SO sweet! (Buffy seems to have been *found* and has not been seen for over a week!)) I'm a bit allergic to her, but that's never stopped me from adopting a cat in need... She'll never again want for food, a warm bed and love! Oh, and after trying out a number of different names, she's "...called Little Buttercup..." She'll reside with fat little sister, Pink :)
