@summerfield This particular photo *I knew* would lend itself perfectly to the poem, but I had to master turning it into a line drawing. I could do it again, now that I sorted it out! I just need willing children and some inspiration!
@maggiemae Thanks, Maggiemae! I turned the photo B&W, used poster edges in PS, and then started removing anything in a shade of grey. I'm working an another of Ashton at the moment, and it isn't coming out the same at all! I don't have a good pencil sketch post processing application, so I'm making it up as I go!
@pamknowler If you find an easy "line drawing" process, please let me know. I made this up as I went along. Thanks for liking it...sure was fun to have the idea as I saw it and I was able to follow it to a conclusion!
@peggysirk Join me in "showing your age" as I saw the image in my mind and knew right where to find it still on the book shelf! Of course I read through most of the book again for old time's sake! A classic for sure!
@cruiser Thanks, Chris! You can see it sparked a new generation of post processing ideas for me! Let's just say I played into the wee hours and didn't post them all!
@ltodd Thank you so much Lyn! I used to carve my own rubber stamps, and almost always made my design in threshold before tracing and carving it. For what I've done here, I needed more control over the lighting.
@jo38 Thank you for the fav Jo!
@danette Mine as well...better to say, "a" childhood favorite! I knew right were to go to find my old copies!
