Ron: "After today Louise will most definitely want to upgrade to this lens. She'll have the opportunity to try it out, and there'll be no going back."
Ken: (Thinking) "Yah, swell... Can you pick me up a consulting job so I can swing the loan I'm going to need to get this for her?" "I suppose she'll want me to carry this for her, too..."
@summerfield You, knowing Ken, can see it, can't you?! I had a "cuter" shot of the two of them that followed this, but when I saw the "dialog", I had to go with it! Thanks for sharing a morning laugh with me ♥
This is FANTASTIC -- Great title and narrative! Well, when are you getting one, Louise? John thinks the same thing as Ken does..... The camera caddy. But he doesn't need to worry about having to carry this lens. (Unless we win the lottery!!!) Gotta fav!
@gilbertwood LOL...not likely, Denise! I DID try it on my own camera, and it's very very heavy! Since a large part of the reason I got the Sony mirrorless was to get rid of some weight, to buy that lens seems counter-intuitive!
And yes, Anita, @aglennc , given the cost of that lens, I don't believe I'd do it until people are beating down my door wanting to buy my images! Since that has yet to happen, and I'm too far past my prime to start peddling them, I'll remain content with what I have!
In all, to both of you, the picture was just too good a depiction of the dialog I could imagine, I had to run with it!
@annied Annie, You well know how you get a vibe when corresponding, and I can safely say you'd settle into this circle quite tidily...or rowdily if you'd like! We cover all territory!
@catsmeowb Having come to know Ron, he works incredibly long hours doing pick-up consulting jobs, and this is how he rewards himself! I get tickled for him because he really enjoys his down time with a new toy now and then! He's very generous, too, letting me put that lens on my camera and encouraging me to use it as long as I'd like... ...which wasn't all that long as it was incredibly heavy!
I can just hear Ken saying that Louise! So funny! Looks like a great lens and a perfect way for Ron to treat himself! Far too heavy for you! I am starting to struggle with my big lens - but I love it so! A great shot of the two men having a chat - your dialogue is just perfect for the shot! Fav!

What a huge lens though.
