Another stop on this day was to visit the Duke Gardens, a spacious and beautiful spot to stroll past fountains and lily-pad filled ponds. I probably photographed most of the flowers, and captured one very poignant photo that might be a personal favorite of the day, but here, I saw this as a kindred spirit, "a child in the yard" with a small animal.
