After wading through inclement weather and 3 accidents, Ken was willing to pay to take the toll road! What started at $1, has risen to $4...but that depends on the time of day! You don't have to pay the toll while on the road, but can return home and pay on line. This ride at 4 PM cost $7.50.
So worth it!
This is Laguna Canyon near the well-known town of Laguna Beach...certainly a lovely (relaxing) drive with the clouds draped low on the hills!
Yes I would pay the toll to avoid those busy roads, I hate it when you see an accident I always take a deep breath as there are so many maniacs driving these days! Speeding and on their mobile phones at the same time! This looks like a beautiful route to take.
We have a system called Ezpay. I have a gadget inside my car that records my travel on the Turnpike an takes the money out of a prepaid plan. When I took my sister to an from Florida I could use it on most of the pay to use roads. Her Sunpass covered Florida. I took it back and forth to work. Great shot.
This is the prettiest toll road I've ever seen. You literally can't get around Dallas without going on a tollroad (unless you have all day). Everyone has Tolltags in their cars, they work in Texas and Oklahoma and save a lot of sanity. Smile.
Awesome shot! I feel like I'm right there in the car with you . . . like one of those virtual rides. I'm with Summerfield . . . I'll pay the $7.50 in a split second to avoid the aggravation and stress of heavy traffic on those other congested highways. My son lived in Calabasas for awhile while he was attending Pepperdine Law School and I remember the horrors of driving the highways around Los Angeles. That traffic makes our traffic here in San Antonio feel like a nice Sunday drive in the country. :-)
And that little bridge up there was the reason that it was delayed for about ten years. Remember when that was supposed to be the last remaining habitat of the endangered fairy shrimp?
