Well, my camera was in a much better mood tonight, but as her handler I wasn't ready to take her out for a joy ride just yet. However, I didn't want to overly discipline her either, so together we sidled up to a 2nd-story window and beheld the nightly glory of thousands of crows coming in to roost. As we watched, the sky, which had previewed just a touch of color to that point, suddenly burst into flames and lit up the coast. It burned only briefly, but wow, what a show!
Shot through filthy glass and edited with only minimal contrast, noise reduction and color correction, my faithful Oly is happily back in my good graces, and hopefully I hers. ...Not much she could've done about the less-than-ideal composition, though. That's on me.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments on yesterday's image! The smiles you gave me were totally worth the lazy post--Cheers :-)
Don’t fret about the comp, the extraordinary colours and flecks of birds in the sky are ace. Good to know that your gentle disciplining of Oly has had a positive impact😉
This shot made me want to go immediately and buy one of those crazy Hawaiian shirts for my husband or one of my sons. The glorious colours seem almost too much for everyday life.
OMG how beautiful is that! I'm happy to hear you and Oly are on better terms and she seems to have gotten over her little snit okay! Fav even if through filthy glass.
So glad you caught the sky. It was brilliant but it was brief. And our wonderful crows. Good to hear you’re not disciplining your cam too much. I think I told you mine broke her fn switch, naughty child... and apparently that’s a common tantrum for the m5.
Great shot, Jenn. Love the hues.
