Got out of the house for a few minutes this evening after being in bed all day with a bad cold (which seems to be going around a bunch of 365ers!) and ended up at the Avila Pier. We just missed the sunset, but tried some longer exposures anyway. Loved the texture of the ropes here so gave it a shot.
I admit, however, that the rope's true color is more of a cyan or teal, but "Purple" is the theme so I tweaked it a bit. I'm not much of a purple fan, and my mom, who is faithfully following me every morning--thanks, momm!--REALLY can't stand it and I'm sure she's chagrined. But it is in support of a great cause so I'm trying to get at least a few theme shots in this week...

Mine was actually more of a stomach bug, but I imagine it won't be long until the cold and flu season gets under way in our household, too.
