Vintage Rose by aikiuser

Vintage Rose

Didn't wander out of the house today so had to find something around the house to shoot. ...Again. Okay, yeah, the rose is more than a bit cliché perhaps, but there ya go; it's what I had! I used it mostly just to fool around with textures and tone, so not my favorite image ever, but I did learn a thing or two...
I think it is really beautiful.

Beautimous! Quite delicate and lovely, like the one who gave you the roses, no? Heh heh.

I think it is a very impressive shot, Aiki. I'd like to know how you got such a delicate look.

Your photography is so evocative.This almost captures the scent of an old fashioned rose, which is to die for... and I would,almost ,to achieve a shot like this!Beautiful.

@kjarn @pixelchix @sarethephotos @gavincci @onefree1isme @moominmomma @pfmandeville Thanks everyone--I really, really appreciate all your kind comments!
@bosschuster Thanks, Richard! For this I converted to b/w and added a touch of sepia tone. Then I lightly added a couple of textures and masked them from the rose. Finally, I added a little color back to the flower and added a frame. :-)
