@purpletulips Why, thank you very much! Writing backwards in pitch dark with different color light sources over a large piece of white paper. I used a tripod and the bulb setting on my camera to keep the shutter open the whole time. Note to self: Try to find a longer shutter release chord before attempting this again. ...and work on that penmanship! ;-)
@cath Thanks a bunch! I believe the exposure was somewhere around 53 seconds. ...about 15 of which was me stumbling around in the blackness to find my cable release to stop it! :-D
Light writing is mega-tricky.... I think you have perfectly wonderfully neat hand-writing and have done a superb job with this. The colours are so wonderfully bright :)
@marinda :-) For this shot I used a few colored lights found at a craft store in the kids section. They're like thick, glowing crayons! Really, just about any light source works and certainly I've used small torches, too. Look for smallish LED lights in different colors and just get creative! My very first attempts were with an old cell phone and they came out really cool! Good luck--I'm looking forward to seeing them. 8-)
How did you do it?
Thanks a bunch!!!
Thank you!

Good idea.
btw, what type of lights does one use for these kind of shots? I mean what works great? just a torch or something?
