Got home late tonight and was shooting yet another flower for tonight's rush posting when I spotted our box of little brushed metal travel dominoes nearby. Of course had to stop what I was doing and play with them. While doing so, I noticed that the light caught them differently depending on how they were oriented so decided enough of the dang flower, this will be my snap of the night.
What a fun shot -- and fun dominoes; I'll have to check them out one day. I missed a wonderful domino photo op in TX last week, when Meya got stuck with the you-know-what one hand! Nevertheless, she went on to beat Lydia and me by a very large point spread.....
Damn! why didn't I think of that - I was playing 3's & 5's with dominos a couple of night's ago.....I obviously didn't have enough 6's in my hand to make the link!! LOL fantastic creativity, lovely lighting and a f av because I love dominos!
@barbsmith Not a silly question at all. Actually, it's just a bit of basic trickery. The photo itself is not actually angled. I simply created a blank image in Photoshop, pasted this image, then rotated it a bit. Having a white background just makes it look angled here. Check it with the magnifier which shows the image on a black background and you'll see what I mean!
No...seriously, please don't. You're an inspiration to many of us! This is SUCH a cool idea and such a great shot!
