Went back to the mill today for a little more exploring. Didn't really feel in the groove as far as photography goes as it's been a struggle to not be overwhelmed with world events these days. But we did manage to have a good bit of fun exploring some more spots we hadn't seen yet.
Again, many huge thanks for all the kind comments. I hate that I don't seem able to keep up with all you wonderful peeps, but I'm trying! Happy Monday everyone :-)
This may sound super cheesy, but knowing I was there with you when you took this makes me feel honored! You and your lovey are so talented. This came out terrific, as always.

Ginormous thanks, all!! For those interested, here's my basic editing techniques for this shot:
- 3 shots (+2, 0, -2) ...my Canon will only do three shots.
- Initial process in Photomatix, tweaked a bit somewhere between the"Enhanced Painterly" and "Enhanced Default" settings
- In Photoshop, added a b/w layer using Silver Efex "High Structure" with a light sepia tone added. Layer translucency to about 55%
- Added Saturation layer, increased selective color saturation levels
- Added a slight Curves adjustment
- Voila!
Great processing, looks like quite the operation. Youare right, it is really sad as youcontinue hearing about the climbing number of deaths associated with Japan's disaster.
Wow - what a great series of pics, which provide a welcome release from all the momentous events. It's certainly brought the world closer together and given us a greater sense of our common humanity ....but at what high cost.
