As I searched our atelier for something even remotely interesting to shoot this evening besides dead flowers, I noticed we had quite the collection of faces on our walls. In fact, that's about all we had and oddly I had never really noticed that before.
Left: Stephen Bucher. He sent me this as a thank you for writing a short story about one of the monsters on his online store. www.dailymonster.com
TR: Paul Klee, A Swiss-German painter
MR: A young aspiring cartoonist I met several years back whose name sadly I cannot for the life of me remember and whose signature I cannot for the life of me read.
BR: John Lawson, my uncle and dad to @carylawson. How cool is that?
that makes a fantastic and interesting face collage - such variety. I've got a Paul Klee on my walls, but only one of my paintings is a face - my dad, painted by my sister and that's a copy. interesting how we get a theme going without realising - mine's not heads :-D
Oh oh OOOOOHHH! You sent me the link to the monster site a week or two ago...i checked it out, but i think i totally forgot to tell you i'd visited! I love it! The ink-blowing looks sooo much fun.....and how does he write backwards and upside-down like that?!
@craigdtull Beats me how he does it. The guy is genius, methinks. Have you read any of the stories people write about the monsters? So fun--you should check out his book. :-)
@craigdtull LOL! I'm not sure if it's up there somewhere or not. I wrote it in response to noticing of his prints for sale on his 344 store had the wrong Monster pictured per the caption. My "story" involved only the indignity of the wronged creature and sadly no Dexteriousity. It was actually kinda lame, but I'll send it to you if you really want. Hey, I got a free poster out of the deal! ;-)
