A high school friend who I haven't seen in about 17 years was in the area today with her family. She's an East Coaster hoping for sunshine, but after 3 hot days in a row, there was sure to be fog on the West Coast. But we went for a walk on the beach and the sun peeked out for a quite striking sunset after all. Was bummed to not have my "real" camera with me, but it was about the visit, not the shot anyway. A darn fine evening indeed!
Sounds like a great we to spend a reunion with an old friend. A great shot to celebrate what sounds like a great day. Love the processing on this! Just goes to show you don't always need the big cameras to get a great shot!
Wow! This is stunning....fabulous color, composition, silhouettes and processing! I can only imagine what you could have done with this sunset if you had your real camera with you!! :)
This is really really beautiful, Jenn. I think the specialness of the time and the mood and the softness are as well captured here as they could have been with the big gun. (Am curious, of course, as to who visited. Janet?)
@aikiuser Yes, it's good when it's good. We met an old friend recently whom we hadn't been in touch with at all for about 20 something years and it was like it had just been yesterday. But it was scarey before hand!
Despite not having your "real camera" with you, I think this is rather awesome :)
