Golden Family

After revisiting the owls this afternoon, we drove north a bit to check in on the eaglets as well. Mom didn't show up until near dark but I know she was somewhere nearby the entire time. We're rooting for the little guy on the right as that one didn't seem nearly as active as the other and it has us concerned. We're hoping that it had already eaten and was just resting. We'll check back again in a few days...

Gotta love it! As for the one that's less active...Watching great horned owls grow up near me in past years, I've notice that some just mature more slowly, & they usually turn out to be males. Not sure about eagles since I mostly(all but once) see them in zoos.
