Um, yeah. Another rocks and sky shot from the Buttermilks area east of Bishop. And, yeah, my shots aren't in order this past week. And yeah, they weren't always shot on the day posted to. My bad. But I'm figuring after 11 months of pretty much sticking to my self-imposed rules of posting only images shot that day, I could give myself a break, right??
Besides, I have always been drawn to these bold forms of rock and sky. I was so relishing the exploration of a new place and am enjoying reliving the experience through processing these images. Also, we got to do it with one of my all-time favorite photo teachers ever, a true poet and a wonderful human spirit who I am blessed to call a friend. (It's a shame he doesn't participate here, his photography is stunning!)
Thanks again for all your amazing comments--this weekend will be spent catching up with you all as much as possible. I so do appreciate your patience!
Wonderful capture, and I've said it over and over. What a beautiful place to spend some vacation time!
And no apologies--it's YOUR project. I love your pics no matter when you took them.
This is a extraordinary shot. Sky texture, stone texture, light, dark, central interest in the small rock. The framing could almost suggest a gallery showing by just adding the date and place... I'd go!
