This evening we joined a very interesting talk with former American ambassador, Rufus Gifford. He may not be all that known by Americans, but almost every Dane knows his name, and he's incredibly popular in Denmark, probably one of the most popular public figures here. He served as the United States Ambassador to Denmark from 2013 to 2017, and he is always very postive and inspirational to listen to, truly a great guy with great values - and it will be very interesting to follow his future endeavours...
I am so happy to see a portrait of him on this site. I watched a documentary about him recently, and you are correct, lots of Americans have no idea who he is.
