I've always loved tulips… the shape, the large petals, the simplicity of the flower, the variety of colours... I even love the taste :-)... They taste like green peas btw :-).
Tulips are quite wonderful, but I can't say I've ever eaten one .. or have been tempted to. I take your word for it that they taste like peas.

@bintal Thank you very much for your comment, Sylvia... When I was a child I ate a lot of them - always the stems, never the petals... guess I thought they were too pretty to eat :-)... my grandmother wondered every year what happened to the tulips in their garden... she probably thought it was wild animals or rabbits eating them... I confessed my childhood tulip eating habbits to her when I grew up and still remember her laughing about it :-)... hmmm... lovely memories fill my mind...
