Can anyone identify this bird for me? I will post a second photo in my Other Favs album of the same bird facing front. I at first thought it was a golden eagle or immature bald eagle but now not sure... Could be a red-tailed hawk?
It is definitely not a Red-Tail. I think it’s a second year Bald Eagle. They are heavily mottled, and their beaks are still dark with the yellow just around the edges, like you can see in your front-on photo. What a fun find!
