I’m not an expert on poppies. I know the germinate on disturbed soil and grow well if you don’t make a fuss of them! The best ones to start with is the small field poppy in yellows and orange.
@busylady Thank, you, Judith! I have to say that I really don't see butterflies here normally (although I'm sure they are about). I typically only see little white ones fluttering around, and they NEVER are still long enough for a photo. LOL This one sat in the grass near our garden for the longest time. I had to run into the house to get my camera (and maybe change the lens...can't remember if that was part of the challenge? Ha,ha) and hope the butterfly was still nearby. It was, and I snapped a couple of photos. This one was the best and cropped slightly to bring it in closer.
