Is It A Wasp?

Taken yesterday, this is another shot of the peony blossom that I posted but with a photo bomber. LOL Think it is a wasp, as we have had those out front under our small porch the last few years.

I'm not sure. Wasps that I know of are dark brown/black and cinched at the waste. The pattern that shows here reminds me more of a bee- but I am no bug expert!! Good catch.
