Yellow Cessna (?) Aircraft

Seen at the small airport in St. Ignatius. We fly in these many times when working at a hunting lodge in Alaska.

Many thanks for your visits, comments, and favs. All are very much appreciated!
Not a Cessna. I checked its registration. It is an amateur built single engine fixed wing. Belongs to an individual who lives in St Ignatius. Now you know!

It doesn't look very solid

@casablanca Oh, you resourceful girl, you! Thanks for the info! Where, pray tell, did you look to find the registration for this little plane. I knew the number on the side might tell us something, but we simply Googled the difference between Piper Cubs and Cessnas, having flown in both. We concluded this was a Cessna because of the upper as opposed to lower wings configuration. Anyway, this one has the configuration one would typically find on a Cessna.

@onewing Oh, Babs, I'm sure it's quite solid! We have flown in planes like this many times during our years of working at the hunting lodge in Alaska. :-) Going to try to post a photo of our youngest grandson sitting in a plane that he got to go up in with an experienced pilot through a program called Young Eagles. That plane was built by the pilot and he named it Experimental! LOL Made this Nana a bit nervous but all was well! I'll see if I can get the photo up here on this thread...

Standard look up for registered aircraft. If it were not registered, it would be an illegal build.

Always been interested in ships and aircraft in our family!

@onewing Okay! Can't figure out how to post the photo in this thread but, if you're interested in seeing it I will post today in my Extras #2 album. :-)

@bjywamer you will notice this aircraft’s official airworthiness certificate is also called “experimental.”

Very cool, Barb! You would get a great view of the land on such a plane (I imagine).
