Limpy emerges from the kennel afte a rather unexpected thunderstorm this afternoon. Rain was forecast for most of the day on and off so I wasn't surprised when the light dimmed and it started to look gloomy. I was fairly startled however when there was a definite flash and a huge clap of thunder.
It ended up being very short-lived - a brief downpour, a few more claps and then the sun and a couple of rainbows came out. Glad I told Dave to take his umbrella when he popped out to the shops (in search of birthday chocs and alcohol for F and C).
Woke from odd dreams involving Turkish restaurants and concerned that I was succumbing to something: a couple of sneezes, a slightly dampish nostril and a slight headache. But nothing seems to have developed - having dosed myself up with fruit, vitamin C, garlic and lots of greens with our veggie burger lunch.
Did a bit of birthday day out admin, emailing people details of the Turkish meal - hope we won't have to cancel ...
3 good things
1. Limpy sheltering from the rain in the odd kennel thing Dave brought back from work.
2. Sun after rain - always such a pleasure.
3. Blood oranges - so very sweet.
I think he’s asking to come inside….those eyes look pleading to me!
Bet you’re counting each day before Saturday & wake up thinking how do I feel this morning?
@blightygal@jcoder I'm actually inside my back door, there's a panel of glass between me and her, so not quite as Dr Dolittle as it looks 😀 she will come close to the back door but retreats if I open it.
Dave brought this old plastic kennel thing that was being chucked out at work and put it at the back of the garden. The foxes (there are others on and off) ignored it for yonks but now one or other of them uses it on and off - Limpy at the moment.
@boxplayer Lol, she does look like coming inside will be her next step! Her fur is looking much better now, yay! And great photo's, love em. The one with all 3 - aww!
@blightygal we do actually keep the back door shut if we're not in the kitchen because they totally will come in. In our old flat, one walked in on me in the bath! If you can get past the long screed of my flat chronicles it's towards the end of the blurb here https://365project.org/boxplayer/365too/2013-07-16
@boxplayer I remember that with you in the bath - funnily enough I thought of that the other day, how strange! Freaky stuff, must've been the last thing you'd ever expect to see, lol.
He’s lucky to have discovered your garden. Must be good energy.
