In the park on the way back from Zumba. Some concerning notices about dead birds and avian botulism attached to the moat railings.
Weather turning damper and cooler. Cardigans and scarves at the ready for home working in a cold house - now that we have to economise on the heating.
Horrible sterling jitters today after new chancellor's confidence-boosting (not) mini-budget. And Italy have voted in their most right-wing government since WW2, their likely new leader's party having its roots in neo-fascism. If I'm being charitable I'd say that people are scared and worried about world stuff and are craving 'strong', 'stable' leadership. If I'm not, they're all a bunch of selfish feckers.
3 good things
1. Seemed to sleep really soundly and all the way through last night - almost unheard of.
2. Back to Zumba.
3. Paul from across the way came over with stouts and mini-gins to thank us for lending him our car yesterday to get to Kent for a marathon.
Wow this really pops out of the picture. I rarely sleep all night and in fact had the worst two nights sleep over the last two niights. Hoping for a better night tonight
I slept badly last night…I go in phases of good nights which are sort of six hours to up at all hours….I don’t actually mind but it’s a very long night!
The old fashioned Michealmas daisy…. Extra jumpers at the ready!!
The world is changing so fast it’s alarming!
I love your assessment of the current political situation. If the UK government 'achievements' of there first short time in power are a sample, we are in for very exciting (and stressful) times. A nice photo!
