That looks a vintage tin of polish. I bet it’s works beautifully too.

Probably right. Looks like a well used tin of floor wax. Nice vintage look of this photo. I'm so glad that I never chose to do this to my wooden floors. Such a small tin and even in a small houe, such as large area of floor to be waxed.
