So the fall came, slowly and quietly.... I walked through a little park today and I saw so many of FALLen chestnuts, and as I was taking pictures they kept FALLing around (missed me luckily)...
They remind me so much of a childhood. We used to play with them, make different little sculptures from them in kindergarten and school, fitting battles with them when we were older, and then repeated the whole story with my kids.
There is really a lot of those trees in Zagreb, which makes this one of typical Zagreb autumn sights...
We call them conkers, and played a game with the same name. They were so prized we would throw sticks into the trees to try to knock them down. This is a nice autumnal still life.
