Pushing the envelope

I've been getting a little too close to the bees and wasps lately. With the butterflies few and far between, I've had to find new subjects. I've been really lucky so far. I haven't been stung.

This Katydid Wasp didn't like my camera in its space. When it noticed me, this is the look I got. When I saw "the look", I stepped back. It really seemed like it was looking for me. It turned its head and looked around. I got the message! I stayed out of range, until it flew away. Have I mentioned how much I miss the butterflies? LOL!
