It rained most of the day. Skippers must like rain. I only saw two butterflies today and both were Common Checkered Skippers.
When I first saw this guy, he was closed. I was taking a few shots of him and he started opeining his wings! I took pics until he decided to fly away. :0)
I didn't realize they were so hairy! He also has several waterdrops on him from the rain.
