Through steamy window by craftymeg

Through steamy window

Grey, cold and wet, wet, wet, 4c and so miserable. I couldn't get a shot outside without my camera getting soaked so opted for this very wet window shot of our other fabulous old Newport Bridge in Middlesbrough. It has just had a recent face-lift and I love it's new rust red and grey paintwork which took around 2 years to complete. At one time the road used to lift completely by a counter balance pully system, but nothing that big gets that far up the river to Stockton now and it was made redundant many years ago. Before it was painted it was green but this livery really shows it in all its glory.

That's a great shot, Margaret. And I love the gloominess of the image even with the splash of red. FAV!

I saw this yesterday and I got distracted and left your page. Later in the day I remembered looking at this and realized I haven't commented and fav it. I had no idea how I might be able to find it again. I looked in the Popular Page and the Trending Page and couldn't find it. But here it is in the "Curated" album! YES! I love the pop of red and how the rain nicely distorts to top part of the image! HUGE FAV!
