The bracken is 3 foot high and as you can see from this mother and daughter, it's worn as a fashion accessory at this time of year!!. They get in and under the bracken to shelter from the wind and shade from the sun, all mums were wearing a collar of green yesterday!!. This year the mothers for some reason have not been sheared in this area of moorland near Castleton and some of them look like this or worse.
