Digging for Ragworms by craftymeg

Digging for Ragworms

The sun shone on the river Tees estuary, the tide was out and there was one lone soul digging for ragworms to use as fishing bait. He was very close to the old wreck which has been part of low tide since before we were born. The afternoon sun was getting low which gave the sea a golden glow.

The wreck sounds as if it would have an interesting history! I'm curious. Never heard of a ragwort but as long as the fish have then that's all good!

Might be the "Wesley of Sunderland"!? In the 19th Century!
