You never see an overgrown grassy verge or grassed area over the moor that has sheep grazing unless it has thistles growing, then you will get a perfectly grazed area with thistle embellishments!!

I've always wondered why the sheep like that little stretch of grass beside the moorland roads, putting themselves at risk from the traffic and eating grass that must have been sprayed with debris by the passing vehicles.
