NOT SOOC! I also want to say Motion Blur is the perfect way to end the challenge. Wha? Who? Where am I? Aren't those the appropriate responses after a slew of one-night stands?
I knew this last Motion blur idea was going to be too difficult to do outside (weather has been awful), so this is the subject: my little fireman ornament that I have hanging from my dining room chandelier! I set up my tripod, opened the shutter some (oh, yes, I did still do all manual for those following me), then went to my fireman, swung him some, then ran back to the tripod and snapped on a delayed shutter.
The problem? Well, the best fireman photo blur shot is the one where the bottom of the chandelier was moving too (yes, that is a flaw in the plan--when I swing the man, he shakes the light too), but I like my guy and the deep red of the wall in my dining room). I KNOW I can do this better (what someone might say after a one-nighter, right?), but alas, haircut and shopping called my name--no time left!
Who knew One Night Stands could be so educational? What have I learned? I have a long way to go to being good at this stuff. Does anyone really aspire to being a good one night stander? Perhaps, but what I can say I loved about the experience was seeing what everyone else did in the week. I've definitely opened my eyes to new techniques, subjects, ideas--hell, it's been exhausting fun! I'd like to thank @orangecrush for the great enthusiasm with which he inspired all of us to "go for it."
@spair Great times! I'm going to miss it (but I will get a short break from learning so fast!). Whew! Thanks for the comment! The red in my dining room makes me very happy.
@espyetta I'm going to do this one again because I love my little fireman and the red, but I didn't have enough time with haircut and such to really give this one some serious thought. I may do the camera settings challenge since it's on motion blur--you in? :)
Your description is so like something that I would write that I just had to follow you.
I'm loving this Project, and learning so much... my Mac went on the dritz last night, so uploads are in a holding pattern... anyhoo I look forwatd to following your journey.
Good for you setting yourself all these challenges. I haven't done any lately due to my work load. You have done so well, and this is a good fun shot, you must feel really 'chuffed' !!!! I'd be pants at this! Still laughing!!
@jo13 My husband has been enjoying my explanation of how I got everything so wrong, so wrong. I'm still chuckling too!!! 365 is just so much more than photography. Have a great day!
@darylo Jerry, really, thanks so much for being the host to a crazy ride. You were very nice to comment each day on my photos (and others). I learned so much in such a short time and look forward to really trying new things out with better concentration. Best challenge I've ever done and met some great folks along the way! Cheers!
@judis You are very sweet to say I'm inspiring! You made my day -- it's been a bit of a downer one too. I'm thinking that it's be month 8 when I produce something that wasn't "an accident" :). In the meantime, I'm loving this place. :)
