I really hoped to catch this lady in b&w today and I did. Used the mono setting, so there was no opting for color "just in case." These birds are magical in any color or contrast. I loved how the wings blurred nicely with the background--gave a different feel to the experience. May play some more when the light gets better (the clouds were teasing me all day as I sat in wait--meanwhile the kids are like, "Moooooom, are you done yet?").
Never see these in mono....it turned out nice! Way to just commit with both feet by taking it in mono to start with! Lol! I love the wing blur. Are your kids feeling like "photography orphans? " ( akin to the golf widow, of course)
