I took my daughter to Little Five Points in Atlanta today to go see a Girls Rock Camp Performance--Here's a NYTimes article on the organization:

After going to the show, where I WON THE GRAND PRIZE RAFFLE--ahhhh (it is a fully paid week of Girls Rock Camp for my daughter next year--she's a bit crazy happy), I took Kira on a tour of L5P. I used to live in this area ages ago when I was cool, skinny, going to see live bands every night, and in my first apartment without roomates (we're talking a tiny studio apt. too).
I took her by my old apartments called the Roane Oaks where I met her dad (he lived there too!). The apartments were really in such bad shape--I don't remember them being that run down, but back then, I thought anything was awesome as long as I had access to live music, pubs, and great restaurants. Youth.
As we swung back around to the store I wanted to photograph for the ONS5 Street challenge, I laughed so hard. Who was standing in front of the store but a group of photographers in a class from Showcase Photography--the local place to be apparently when taking courses. I asked if any of them are 365ers, and some of them said their instructors were! Ha! I told them to check it out. I did take a photo I'll load up on here of all of them in front of the store--it's pretty funny.
So to this photo. I know, sorry, it's been a long day and I understand if no one is with me at this point in my narrative (if you are, just say HOTDOG if you leave a comment--I'll give you bonus points--hehe). We see this guy with his waterbottle music set! On the other side of him, one waterbottle has a Lynard Skynard sticker. If you view large, he has his change placed on the sill in back of him. I gave him some money to play for me, and I asked his permission to take his photo. He was so pleased, waved, played, and then he looked at me and said, "hey, I know, I'll also look forward, so you can get a good profile of me playing"--which I did OF COURSE. I took a bunch of photos from this day. But this one made me smile--And so it's my street submission for ONS5. One last day. Come on, get on/in a train, plain, bike, car, scooter, and give me some transportation shots! Here's the info to join in
