It was such a nice evening, and in spite of the humidity, I decided to go out for a walk. As I walked along a nearby creek, I enjoyed the country's peaceful quiet. This particular creek runs by a nearby farm, and in the distance I could hear the cows, and every once and awhile I'd hear a barking dog. The birds were chirping, and down stream there was a family fishing. I could hear the kids chattering. As I approached the end of the public property, I caught glimpse of this beautiful, majestic tree that stood on the bank of a small pond. Next to the tree was a small row boat, upside down. As you can see, the sun had almost disappeared below the horizon, but there was just enough sunlight left to light up the scene. Living in the city offers nothing like this, but I am grateful that the open country is nearby where I can escape. Have a wonderful evening.
This place really is magical and it reminds me of my childhood. I grew up just outside of Binghamton, NY, right on the PA border. Is that a weeping willow? They are the best climbing trees, so I would be torn whether to climb the tree or take the boat down the creek with a fishing rod in hand.
